Delete your Vinyl account

You can request deletion of your Vinyl account and the associated data in two ways.

From the app (recommended)

Open the app → Settings → Delete my account. Your account is immediately flagged for deletion.

Without the app (by email)

If you no longer have access to the app, email privacy@zhiween.com from your account's email address, with the subject “Account deletion”. We will process your request within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Your email address and nickname
Your Discogs token (if it was stored)
Your collection (records, wishlist, favorites)
Your friends, reactions and notification preferences
Your push notification token

Timing and retention

After your request, the account is kept for a 14-day grace period (signing back in during that period cancels the deletion), then permanently erased. Any backups containing your data are overwritten within about 7 days after the purge.
